Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information.

Last updated: 30 October 2026

1. Who we are

This website, sgimportsandexports.com, is run by SG Imports and Exports Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13915849 (“we”, “us”, “our”).

We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we use your information, please contact us:

2. The information we collect

Information you give us

When you send us an enquiry through the contact forms on this website, we collect:

  • your name and email address;
  • your company name and subject line (if you provide them);
  • the topic you select and the message you write;
  • any files you choose to attach, such as specifications, photos or documents; and
  • the page of our website you sent the enquiry from, and the date and time it was sent.

If you apply to be a driver

When you apply through our Become a Driver page, we collect:

  • your name, email address and mobile number;
  • the vehicles you drive, the days and hours you can work and how you work (for example self-employed or sole trader);
  • your driving licence categories, qualifications, years of driving experience and the insurance you hold;
  • the town or postcode you are based in and how far you will travel;
  • any documents you choose to upload, such as your driving licence or insurance certificate, and anything you tell us in your notes.

If we accept your application, we set up a driver login for you. We then also keep the jobs we offer you, whether you accept them, when you collect and deliver them, the name of the person who signed for each delivery, any proof-of-delivery photos you add, and what each job pays.

We also hold any information you give us when you email or phone us, or when we go on to do business together.

Please don’t include sensitive information (for example about health, finances or criminal records) in your enquiry or in any files you attach.

Information collected automatically

Like all websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. This is used to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix problems, and is kept only for a short period.

To display text in our chosen fonts, your browser loads them from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is shared with Google when you view the site.

3. Cookies and website statistics

This website does not use cookies or advertising trackers, and we do not track you across other websites.

We keep simple, anonymous statistics so we can see how the website is used – for example how many people visit each day, which pages and news stories are popular, which website or search engine sent them, the country they’re in and whether they use a phone or computer. Nothing is stored on your device to do this. Your visit is counted using a code made from your IP address and browser type combined with a random value that changes every day and is then deleted. We never store your IP address, and after a day the records can’t be linked back to you or to your other visits.
